Herjavec Group acquires IAM solutions firm Aikya
TV personality Robert Herjavec recently told CRN to expect an acquisition in this space
After its CEO told CRN his firm was imminently acquiring an identity and access management (IAM) outfit, global managed security services firm Herjavec Group has announced a deal with IAM consultancy Aikya Security Solutions.
Founded in 2014, Aikya supports IAM for enterprises in sectors including finance, utilities and gaming across Canada, Asia and Australia.
Following the acquisition announcement, CEO Robert Herjavec said his firm is "rapidly expanding" across the US, the UK and Australia. It leapt into the UK last year by acquiring fellow McAfee partner Sysec.
"There is no better time to formally introduce our identity and access management practice so we can continue to help our customers solve complex business issues with innovative IAM technologies and services," said Herjavec, who has appeared on Shark Tank and Dancing with the Stars.
"A proactive and identity strategy not only helps organisations meet compliance requirements, but reduces the risks associated with excessive employee access."
The Aikya team will now be based in Herjavec Group's headquarters in Toronto, with Aikya managing director Ketan Kapadia leading the new combined practice.
Herjavec Group will also be investing in Aikya's technical centre in India.
