Printerland takes second bite of Sale Sharks

Printer VAR reignites sponsorship agreement with Premiership rugby club

Printer reseller Printerland has rekindled its sponsorship of Sale Sharks after a five-year hiatus.

The Cheshire-based outfit is sponsoring the club's Family Stand at its AJ Bell Stadium under a six-figure, three-year deal.

The deal comes after a change of management this summer at the club, which is currently lying seventh in the Aviva Premiership after six games.

Printerland managing director James Kight said this, along with the return of Manchester hosting firm UKFast as Sale shirt sponsor this summer, provided the impetus for the two parties to strike up a dialogue again.

"With the change in management they are going in the right direction and it was just the right time [to return]," he said.

The Family Stand is opposite the TV gantry, which will maximise TV coverage for the Printerland brand, Kight said, particularly in light of Sale's qualification for the Heineken Cup this year.

The agreement means Printerland has 2,000 tickets to give away, which it will give to local schools.

"We are big in the education market - we've got 3,000 educational establishments using us - so this is something we can give back," Kight said.

Sale Sharks commercial director Mark Cueto said: "It is fantastic to see Printerland.co.uk back on our stand. Having been a big sponsor in the past, it is great to have them on board again and we look forward to working with them over the upcoming season."
