The UK distribution space is witnessing another rash of consolidation, with Tech Data buying Avnet's IT solutions business and Exertis buying Hammer. Both Exertis and Tech Data claims their respective moves will bolster their value-added, solutions-oriented businesses, but will the move benefit or harm the resellers that buy from them?
