Beta Distribution adds two storage vendors to stable
Distributor continues with plans to hit £200m revenue in 2017
Beta Distribution has added two new vendors to its line-up as it looks to strengthen its technology solutions business.
Beta told CRN last week that it is on course to smash through the £200m revenue barrier as it increases the amount of business it does outside its core audiovisual, printer and toner businesses.
The distributor has now signed a UK distribution deal with encryption vendor iStorage and a pan-European deal with storage player G-Technology.
Earlier this year iStorage featured in the Sunday Times' Hiscox Tech Track 100 list as one of Britain's fastest-growing private technology companies.
Jonpaul Warren, business manager at Beta, said: "iStorage have led the way in developing products that securely store and protect data to military-specified encryption levels, while ensuring compliance with regulations and directives."
"The new GDPR regulations mean that any organisation which processes or handles information relating to EU residents has to meet strict data protection requirements [and] iStorage provides the solutions to address that requirement."
Beta will distribute G-Technology's products across the UK and also in Europe through its European arm based in Maastricht in the Netherlands.
Mark Billingdon, UK channel director at G-Technology, said: "Beta has a well-established and very successful business model, providing products and services to resellers in the creative industry and so our product range is a logical extension to their portfolio.
"Their logistics and service capabilities are industry leading, and that, combined with our reputation for premium storage solutions, makes it a very powerful proposition."
