Maverick set to go big in large format display market
AV specialist aims to double market share with launch of dedicated partner development team
Maverick is looking to ramp up sales of large format displays (LFD) by unveiling a new team focused on supporting partner business development in the LFD market.
The specialist AV distributor - part of Tech Data - supplies LFDs from vendors including Asus, LG, Philips and Sony.
The new team will see Mohammad Oftadeh take on the new role of LFD business development manager. Oftadeh was previously LFD business manager, and his additional responsibilities will include sales development, special projects and training to drive its resellers' LFD sales.
Oftadeh will be joined in the partner business development team by Grant Keenan who will take on the role of business manager, and Blaine Johnstone who will be product manager.
Keenan has been with Maverick for 10 years and will continue to oversee projector and monitor sales in addition to his new role. Johnstone was product manager for projectors and will continue in that position as well as taking on the LFD product manager role.
Maverick is aiming to double its share of the LFD market with the addition of the new team. It is also looking to recruit new vendors, according to its managing director, Tony Scully.
"We're investing in our LFD team to make sure we can deliver the high levels of business development support and advice customers expect from Maverick," he said. "We see good opportunities for growth with all our LFD vendor partners, in both the commercial and public sectors. These appointments put us in a great position to make a real difference for our customers and work with them, and our vendor partners, to maximise their growth potential."
