HPE crowns new channel boss

Mark Armstrong to take on the role of VP of channel, service providers and SMB from 3 January

HPE has made company veteran Mark Armstrong its new vice president of channel, service providers and SMB.

Armstrong, has been at HPE for 19 years and most recently was its UKI country director for technology services.

In a memo sent to staff, seen by CRN, HPE's UK chief Marc Waters said Armstrong brings "extensive experience" from a range of sales roles and has enjoyed considerable success in his roles so far.

David Regan will step into Armstrong's old role and the duo will "work together in securing a smooth handover", Waters said.

He added that Lee Hughes, HPE's vice president of channels and alliances and services providers will be leaving to pursue an opportunity with an online security and digital startup, claiming he has "mixed emotions" about the move.
