Daisy picks HP for £3.5m disaster recovery upgrade

Daisy will be installing 6,000 new desktops to all of its 13 nationwide work area recovery sites

Daisy Group has partnered with HP Inc to roll out a £3.5m hardware upgrade to all 13 of its nationwide work area recovery sites.

The initiative will see 6,000 desktop computers rolled out to the facilities, which provide corporate customers with alternative worksites in the event of a disaster.

Les Price, head of business continuity operations at Daisy, said: "The level and quality of service that we are able to provide to our customers in their time of need is of the upmost importance to us.

"It is extremely important for us to be able to offer our customers a standard, uniform and reliable experience, regardless of where they or their staff may be based throughout the UK.

"Partnering with HP to roll out the same capable and robust hardware to every one of our sites ensures our customers are provided with the best possible back up and support, when they need it most."

Daisy will be installing HP EliteDesk 800 G2 PCs to the recover sites, alongside the i7-6700 ‘Skylake' chipset.
