Systemax CEO hails 'tremendous initiatives' at Misco UK

Larry Reinhold popped into three Misco bases on a trip to the UK

Systemax's CEO Larry Reinhold visited three Misco offices in the UK this week, and was so impressed that he took to LinkedIn to talk up the "tremendous" work being done by its teams across the board.

Reinhold said on LinkedIn: "Had a good week in the UK working with our UK senior leadership team and with sales reps and management in our Watford, Wellingborough and Weybridge offices (the three Ws). Tremendous initiatives under way with our product, solutions and services teams. Looking forward to a huge 2017!"

According to figures filed with Companies House in October, Misco's UK arm endured widening losses and falling sales in the financial year ending 2 January last year - with operating losses widening to £8.5m, from £5.6m the year before, and sales falling 23 per cent to £219.4m.

But in its parent firm Systemax's earnings a month later, it said it had hired 20 new sales staff across the UK business.
