Pennine acquires Co-Channel Electronics
Pennine became part of the Nycomm Group in December last year
Comms VAR Pennine has acquired Bristol-based wireless communications specialist Co-Channel Electronics.
Co-Channel specialises in radio and wireless communications with a customer base across the West Country, and will be integrated into Pennine's PennineRadio division.
Pennine will retain Co-Channel's existing staff and use its premises as a technical and sales support hub for the region.
Pennine's managing director Andrew Roberts said: "Co-Channel is an excellent fit for our business.
"That's due both to the respect the business and its staff command for technical excellence and the growth which PennineRadio is already enjoying in the South West."
Co-Channel's founder and managing director John Crawford will stay on in a consultancy role, while co-founder Teresa Griffiths will retire.
Pennine rebranded from Pennine Telecom last year in a move to increase awareness of its IT capabilities.
The VAR has been part of the Nycomm Group since being acquired in December last year and its most recent filing on Companies House reported a turnover of £7.4m for the 12 months ending 31 December 2015.
