Integrator Teneo completes hattrick of US acquisitions
Teneo says acquisition of US Gigamon and Riverbed partner will increase its size by 50 per cent globally and double US headcount
Specialist integrator Teneo has acquired US systems management solutions provider Management Communications Services (MCS), completing a trio of US acquisitions.
The acquisition comes after it snapped up VistaOne in January 2016 and ClearPath consulting six months later.
Piers Carey, CEO at Teneo, said: "Teneo has created a new market category of ‘specialist integrator' and with the acquisition of MCS, we're set to see a very powerful combination of award-winning, specialist technology capabilities with serious focus on customer success.
"This brings us an incredible opportunity to accelerate our next-generation technologies-based service model and exceed our customer satisfaction and profitability targets."
Reading-based Teneo reported a turnover of £21.6m for the 12 months ending June 2015 in its most recent financial filing on Companies House, but said after completing its VistaOne acquisition last year that its turnover would jump to £40m.
This latest acquisition, Teneo says, will increase its size globally by 50 per cent and double its US headcount.
The firms share similar vendor portfolios, with both being Gigamon and Riverbed partners.
Adam Beckman, CEO at MCS, said: "As our enterprise customers' IT footprints become more distributed through increased use of the cloud, remote working and branch offices, IT management - particularly on a national or global level - becomes much more complex.
"I look forward to seeing our team extend their work to a global stage, leveraging Teneo's great resources to make it even easier for our customers to access next-generation technology and use it to its full advantage."
