CCS fires gun on Technology Products 2 'flash sale'
Public sector buyers can enjoy up to 35 per cent off certain products through the massive government framework
Suppliers on the Technology Products 2 (TP2) framework are offering up to 35 per cent off certain products, as part of a flash sale which will take place all next month.
TP2 was launched before Christmas and is a giant government framework expected to be worth between £2bn and £4bn over its life, covering a range of IT hardware.
Dozens of suppliers, including SCC, Softcat, Insight, XMA and Misco are on the framework across various Lots.
From tomorrow (1 March) and for the whole of the month (or until stock runs out) certain suppliers will be offering public sector customers big discounts - up to 35 per cent off - on some products.
The government did not say which suppliers are involved, but said short-term deals can be had on kit from HPE, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, Apple, XMA and Toshiba.
Schools, colleges, local councils, NHS Trusts, police and wider government departments are eligible to take advantage of the sale, the government said.
The flash sale applies only to Lot 6 of the framework, which is a catalogue of value-based equipment, and suppliers can access the deals through the CCS purchasing platform.
