UK cloud MSP Cloudreach opens new US base following takeover

Cloudreach hints at further expansions 'into other key markets'

London-based cloud services provider Cloudreach has opened the first new office of its global expansion since being acquired by investment behemoth Blackstone.

Cloudreach announced plans to extend its reach globally when Blackstone took a majority stake in the MSP in February, and has now followed this up with a new base in Dallas - adding to its current US offices in New York, Chicago, and Atlanta.

Cloudreach now has offices in the US, the UK, Canada, France and Germany, with a Swiss location set to open imminently.

Pontus Noren (pictured), CEO at Cloudreach, said: "We have been eyeing Dallas as our next office to open in the US for some time.

"Texas and the southern central region of the US offers tremendous opportunity and we look forward to enabling ever more enterprises to innovate using the cloud."

Blackstone announced plans to fuel Cloudreach's growth when it completed the acquisition earlier this year, and Cloudreach hinted that further expansions "into other key markets" are imminent.

David Johnson, senior adviser at Blackstone, said: "Customer demand continues to accelerate for Cloudreach's services and Blackstone is excited to invest in this growth.

"The opening of this new office further cements the company's position as a global leader in cloud technology."
