Samsung shifts IP PBX channel support to Korea
Distributor Nimans reassures resellers they will receive same service and support they previously enjoyed under new support structure
Distributor Nimans says it is ramping up investment in its support of Samsung's UK IP PBX channel in response to a business-model shake-up from the vendor.
Samsung is to begin delivering support directly from its Korean headquarters, Warren Hampton, general manager of networks for Samsung UK confirmed in a statement.
"There were too many steps in the old support model, which slowed down the high-quality support we were able to offer our channel. So we've looked into ways of streamlining our service and come up with a new initiative that delivers support direct from our HQ team in Korea," he said.
"We strongly believe this will give our UK distributors the control and autonomy needed to offer the best product support to our channel."
In response, Nimans has set up a dedicated Samsung Business Unit covering purchasing, technical support and sales and marketing to support the Samsung business, the distributor's channel sales director, Richard Carter, said.
The new structure replicates the existing Samsung go-to-market team in the UK, meaning resellers will "continue to receive all the service and support that they previously enjoyed", according to Nimans.
