NHS seeks MSPs for £55m contract
NHS Business Services Authority hunts MSP to deliver managed infrastructure
NHS Business Services Authority is seeking MSPs to bid for a £55m managed infrastructure services contract.
The authority, which provides support to NHS Trusts nationwide, has published details of the deal online - and is set to invite five suppliers to submit initial tenders.
The four-year contract, which has the option of two 12-month extensions, will replace the organisation's current contract which is set to expire in December 2018.
The tender document states: "In the re-procurement of the services covered by the current contract, the Authority is following a disaggregated model.
"The new target operating model is designed to enhance internal systems and service integration capabilities by replacing the single supplier ICT managed service with services provided by a mix of in-house and external suppliers."
One supplier is expected to be selected for the contract, with suppliers given until 13 September 2017 to request participation in the tender.
Invitations to tender are expected to be sent on 9 October 2017, with the contract slated to start on 1 June 2018.
