Office 365 outage resolved

Microsoft fixes Exchange issues following complaints from users on social media

Microsoft confirmed an outage for its hosted email Exchange Online service this morning, before tweeting that the issue has been fixed.

Office 365 users took to Twitter to vent their anger at not being able to access their email accounts, with Microsoft acknowledging the fault at around 9am.

Microsoft's ‘Office 365 Status' Twitter account - which updates users on outages and faults - said: "We are investigating connectivity issues to Exchange Online for some customers in Europe. Admins check EX119696 for details."

The fault however proved to be short lived, when an update was posted on the Twitter account at 11:20 saying said Microsoft had "fixed the issue". It did not confirm what caused the outage.
