What will the channel look like in 2020?

The CRN On event returns to chart the channel landscape for the coming years

Following on from last year's successful CRN On: The European Channel in 2020 event, the half-day conference will return next month with three new industry topics at its core.

The themes of disruption, collaboration and innovation will furnish the discussions at this year's event, which is free for resellers and MSPs to attend and will take place in London on 7 November.

The focus areas represent a progression from last year's themes of people, technology and finance, and reflects a changing industry, where disruptive and innovative technologies and collaborative arrangements are evolving the channel model.

The event, which is sponsored by Agilitas, comes as channel firms who face the same long-term margin squeeze issues are looking towards a diversified technology portfolio to enable them to have unique selling points with disruptive and innovative technologies.

As for the theme of collaboration, that aspect is also gathering pace with altering channel delivery models being used to enable new growth opportunities.

"The Channel in 2020 event was a huge success in 2016," Alan Loader, group publishing director of CRN, commented.

"It succeeded in being different to other channel events by focusing on the changes channel firms need to go through to keep them growing into 2020.

"This year's event goes further by focusing specifically on the disruptive technologies and structures that will shape the next few years.

"It's a must-attend event for channel leaders who want to understand who they should be working with to take advantage of a shifting channel landscape," added Loader.
