Tech Data's UK boss takes on pan-European role

Tech Data's current SVP for UK&I Andy Gass takes on newly created role focusing on digital transformation

Tech Data today announced the appointment of Andy Gass as senior vice president for digital, Europe. He will preside over optimising the distributor's e-commerce platforms, digital marketing practices and automated processes across the region.

Gass (pictured) is a long-time Tech Data exec, having joined the Florida-based giant in 1993.

His new role will be in addition to his current position as senior vice president for UK and Ireland.

"The appointment of Andy Gass to this newly created role heralds a renewed strategic focus on the digitalisation of our business model and go-to-market strategy in Europe," said Tech Data's European boss Patrick Zammit.

"With Andy's extensive experience and deep knowledge of the distribution channel, I am confident we will set the road map to delivering a truly best-in-class digital experience for our customers and vendors across all our operations."
