Perspicuity secures audience with Theresa May

Microsoft partner runs PM through its Microsoft apprenticeship programme at vendor's Reading HQ

Microsoft partner Perspicuity secured an audience with the prime minister on Friday when she visited Microsoft's Reading headquarters.

Theresa May dropped in on Microsoft on the final day of its week-long series of events to encourage more people to "earn and learn" in apprenticeships.

Perspicuity was also there on the day to run the UK premier through its Microsoft apprenticeship programme.

Microsoft issued a call to arms to its partners last year to help it fulfil its goal of delivering 30,000 new Microsoft apprentices by 2020.

May joined Microsoft UK boss Cindy Rose in speaking with 30 past and present apprentices at the firm about how to encourage more women to apply for digital apprenticeships.

"Apprenticeships offer people of all ages and from all backgrounds the chance to deliver the skills our country needs," the PM said."Microsoft is one of many companies across the UK helping young people unlock their potential."
