DXC Technology acquires Microsoft Gold partner

DXC goes after Dynamics 365 partners, snapping up eBECS along with an Australian firm

DXC Technology has snapped up Microsoft partner eBECS as part of a double acquisition targeting Dynamics 365.

Chesterfield-based eBECS took on investment from DXC's predecessor in 2016, but will now become part of DXC's Eclipse practice.

DXC was formed last year when Hewlett Packard Enterprise span off its services business and merged it with CSC.

The services giant has also acquired Melbourne-based Sable37, another Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner.

DXC Technology senior vice president Troy Richardson said: "The acquisitions of eBECS and Sable37 will enhance our ability to address client needs and add significant value to DXC's Eclipse global business.

"It allows DXC to expand and enhance its cloud-first business with software, services, systems integration and cloud offerings - particularly in financial services, retail, manufacturing and public sector verticals."

eBECS was placed 94th in CRN's Top VARs 2017 with a revenue of £33.1m. As well as in the UK, the firm has operations in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and North America.

eBECS CEO Kevin Hall said: "This is a truly exciting time for our customers, our team of professionals, and the Microsoft community in our regions.

"DXC's maturity as a global systems integrator and respected Microsoft partner is an ideal fit for eBECS. Being part of DXC means having the strength and certainty of a long-term business partner with the global infrastructure, high-calibre resources and experience to allow us to truly lead our customers on their digital transformation journeys."

The double acquisition has also been endorsed by Microsoft, with VP Hayden Stafford saying: "Microsoft customers are looking for a trusted partner to help accelerate their digital transformation journeys and empower them to seize the opportunities ahead.

"The expansion of DXC's Microsoft practice is another great step forward in our global collaboration and consolidates DXC's position as a leading Microsoft Dynamics 365 Gold partner."
