Former Microsoft channel boss joins VMware

Jenni Flinders will head up VMware's worldwide channel business

Former Microsoft channel boss Jenni Flinders has joined VMware as vice president of worldwide channels.

Flinders (pictured) spent 15 years at Microsoft throughout the noughties and 2010s in various channel roles, most recently as vice president of the Partner Group, before departing in 2015.

At VMware Flinders will be responsible for the firm's overall channel strategy.

"I'm honored to serve as VMware's new worldwide channel chief, and can't wait to team with our renowned and robust partner ecosystem," Flinders said.

"Our partners are key to helping customers realise the value of VMware solutions including our compute, cloud, mobility, networking and security offerings.

"They are a critical source of valued expertise to customers around the world."

In her most recent role Flinders was CEO of Daarlandt Partners - a consultancy specialising in advising on channel strategies.

At VMware she will report to VP Brandon Sweeney.

Sweeney said: "Jenni has a long and distinguished track record of driving innovation with a diverse set of partners in the IT industry, and we are thrilled to have her as VMware's new global channel chief.
