Top G-Cloud supplier snapped up by Accenture
Certus Solutions claims to have implemented one of the largest Oracle cloud's to a UK government department
IT services giant Accenture has acquired Guildford-based Oracle partner Certus Solutions in a move which it claims will boost its public sector credentials.
Certus is an Oracle Platinum partner with a track record of selling into the government and healthcare sectors, claiming to have implemented one of the largest Oracle Cloud infrastructures for a UK government department.
It is also one of the top suppliers on G-Cloud, with government spending data covering up until 31 December 2017 showing that Cetus had conducted over £8m of business through the government framework.
Mark Sweeny, CEO at Certus Solutions, said: "Accenture is at the forefront of positive transformational change, but what's truly exciting is what Certus Solutions can add that will benefit our clients.
"There is a tremendous opportunity to do some great work and we're looking forward to taking that on together.
We have gone from being one of the first Oracle Cloud partners to become one of the most successful, and a big reason for that is the quality of our people. This is a market that needs specialists with broad experience, which is rare in this highly demanding and competitive market."
In its last financial report, Certus reported a revenue of £7.4m for the 12 months ending 31 May 2017, up 28 per cent on the previous year. The firm's gross profit margin was 26.32 per cent.
Zahra Bahrololoumi, UK head at Accenture, said: "This acquisition brings a team with highly respected Oracle Cloud expertise and extends the capabilities of our market leading Oracle practice.
"By joining together we can add scale to provide excellent solutions to our joint clients and expand Certus Solutions into more areas of the Oracle ecosystem."
