Total Computers maintains high-growth reseller tag with latest results
Revenues soar to £65.5m in 2017, a fivefold rise on 2010
One of the UK's fastest-growing resellers says a growth in big-ticket deals helped it swell sales by more than a quarter in its latest financial year.
Kettering-based Total Computers logged revenues of £65.5m in its year to 31 December 2017.
That represents a 25.7 per cent rise on the previous year and is quintuple the £13.7m the HP and Lenovo partner turned over in 2010 (see graph, below)
Operating profits also surged from £1.22m to £1.77m, according to results the company shared with us.
Following several years of frenetic expansion, Total's revenues plateaued just above the £50m mark in 2016.
Managing director Aidan Groom (pictured) told CRN that the firm's growth resumed on the back of some larger wins, thanks to its services prowess.
"We had general run rate growth in our public sector and corporate sales but predominantly we're winning more big-ticket deals than ever before, primarily as a continuation of enhancing our technical capabilities and services offering. That is something we're continuing to focus our investment in," he said.
Groom added that Q1 sales in 2018 were "well up" on the previous year.
"We have invested further in the business and feel that we have the right mix to continue to grow and to successfully meet the needs of an evolving market," he said.
