Arrow ECS unveils new EMEA sales boss

Alexis Brabant takes the reins

Arrow has announced another change to the management line-up of its enterprise computing solutions (ECS) business with the appointment of Alexis Brabant as vice president of EMEA sales.

Although the announcement was made today, Brabant (pictured) has been in the new role since February, according to his LinkedIn profile. The new EMEA boss came to Arrow after its acquisition of value-added distributor Alitmate in 2012.

In the deal's aftermath, Brabant was appointed regional director of Arrow ECS Iberia and country manager of Spain in 2013. He then became general manager of southern Europe, comprising Spain, Portugal, Italy and Israel, and was most recently Arrow ECS' vice president of southern Europe, Nordics and eastern Europe.

"This appointment is clearly a vote of confidence on the part of the company, for which I feel tremendously grateful. I assume [the position] with great enthusiasm and commitment," Alexis Brabant said in a statement.

Brabant's appointment comes after a series of changes among Arrow ECS' European executive line-up. The distributor appointed a new Nordic chief, Henrik Resting-Jeppsen, in February 2017 which was followed by VP of northwest Europe Jesper Trolle leaving his post to head up Arrow ECS' Americas business just six months later.

At the same time, Mark McHale took over responsibility for the UK and Ireland in Trolle's stead.

Most recently, Arrow ECS appointed ex-Avnet man Marcus Adä as vice president of central and eastern Europe with responsibility for Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Switzerland.
