CEO Hayley Roberts says demand was there from vendors to expand internationally as Manchester distributor gets set to open Benelux operation
Industry veteran Kees van Kempen has joined UK distributor Distology to lead its first overseas expansion by launching a new business in Benelux, CRN sister publication Channelnomics Europe has reported.
Van Kempen was last week appointed as Benelux managing director for the Manchester-based security VAD, and will be responsible for launching a Dutch entity from scratch in the next few months.
Distology has been working in Benelux with identity management vendor Okta for the last six months, according to CEO Hayley Roberts (pictured). She said Benelux was a logical first step into continental Europe as Distology's UK office will be able to provide back-end support for its new overseas venture.
"I always had the dream of having a pan-European company. Ultimately, it was a good excuse that we were starting to work with Okta over there. The demand was there from vendors suggesting that, if we're doing something good in one country, why can't we replicate that out?" she said.
