Ron Coughlin brings decade at HP to a close

HP Inc's president of Personal Systems Ron Coughlin has left the vendor, bringing a decade with HP to a close.

Coughlin joined HP in 2007, according to his LinkedIn profile, and held various roles in HP's printer and PC businesses.

Coughlin (pictured) will be replaced immediately by Alex Cho, who was most recently VP of HP's commercial PC business group.

"Alex is uniquely qualified to lead Personal Systems into its next phase of reinvention. He brings deep business, product and security experience and a long track record of success to the role, and will continue our focus on creating customer experiences that amaze."

Coughlin has departed HP to become CEO at US retail firm Petco Animal Supplies.

Cho joined HP in 1995 and has held various senior roles including in HP's PC, print and services divisions.
