Ci Distribution expands into mainland Europe
Telford-based firm moves into the Nordics with Getac
Ci Distribution has made a push into the Nordic market through a partnership with rugged hardware vendor Getac.
The deal will see Ci Distribution sell Getac's entire range of products - including notebooks and tablets - into some countries in the Nordics.
CI Distribution is fronted by Jon Atherton, former commercial development director of Exertis, who claims the expanded partnership with Getac follows "strong growth" in the UK.
"We have come so far over the past two years in growing our reach and focus with new vendors, Getac being one of those success stories. Our success within the UK and Ireland has been great for everyone here at Ci," Atherton said.
"In fact, that vast majority of our vendors have seen significant increase with us year on year. I am so pleased Getac have appointed us in the Nordics and I look forward to our continued growth and friendship.
The fledgling distribution arm of public sector reseller Centerprise has been steadily growing its vendor portfolio over the last year or so. The firm made a trio of vendor signings in March 2017 and Atherton said four or five more would follow in the coming weeks.
Centerprise booked revenues of £70.38m for its year ending August 2017, 26 per cent higher than the previous year.
