Fashionable team-up for Avanade and K3

Microsoft partners collaborate to develop solutions for clients in retail sector

Software reseller K3 and Microsoft consultancy Avanade have formed a partnership to provide business insights to retail organisations.

Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 software, the partnership aims to provide retail and fashion companies with tailored environments, insight and control over all their processes and channels to market.

K3, which provides Microsoft technology solutions for retail businesses, will use its knowledge of the fashion and retail sector to "complement" Avanade's expertise in the same area for large enterprise clients, according to Francois Matte, global ERP lead at Avanade.

"We always seek excellence across every aspect of our business, and this includes our partner ecosystem. K3's solutions deliver market-leading fashion and retail functionality which complements our own capabilities within this sector," Matte said.

"In the era of intelligence, enterprises need to transform to take advantage of massive advancements in technology to predict and lead.

"This alliance with K3 to innovate with the retail industry relevant solutions will help our clients gain competitive edge, delight their customers, and attract and retain top talent."

The solutions have already been trialled with a retail outlet operator in a European airport, and a Belgian fashion retailer.

K3 has had a turbulent few years, but it recently reported increased revenue for its H1, which CEO Adalsteinn Valdimarsson attributed to a greater emphasis on the company developing its own intellectual property.

Valdimarsson said he was delighted with the Avanade collaboration.

"This strategic global alliance with Avanade will enhance an already established relationship, and strengthen and accelerate our joint go-to-market proposition," he added.
