DataDirect Networks becomes Tintri reseller to aid partners

DDN made bid to acquire Tintri's assets earlier this month

DataDirect Networks (DDN) has signed a global reseller agreement with Tintri to support customers and partners of the struggling vendor.

Tintri went into Chapter 11 earlier this month after failing to secure the necessary funds to keep it afloat.

At the same time DDN announced that it had entered into a "non-binding" agreement to acquire Tintri's assets.

The latest update has seen DDN confirmed as a Tintri reseller.

DDN CEO Alex Bouzari said: "We are delighted to be able to provide immediate support to Tintri customers worldwide.

"DDN's 20-year track record of stellar customer satisfaction plus Tintri's outstanding technology for virtual environments is the perfect match.

"Tintri end users, resellers, VARs and distributors worldwide can now fully rely on DDN to support their business and mission-critical enterprise environments."

DDN did not provide any update on how its offer for Tintri's assets is progressing.
