Reseller also saw its operating profit fall five per cent in its financial 2017

US giant CDW saw its UK business fly past the £700m revenue barrier in 2017, while operating profit dipped five per cent.

For the 12 months ending 31 December 2017 CDW UK saw sales grow 11 per cent to £719.5m, but operating profit fell to £38m.

In its full accounts, filed on Companies House, CDW said: "The IT market remains competitive. [CDW] seeks to manage the risk of losing customers to key competitors by the provision of added-value services, improving response times in the supply of products and the handling of customer queries and by maintaining strong relationships.

"The company will continue to develop survival capabilities and streamline the delivery of product. It is believed that these combined activities position the company well for the future."

CDW UK saw the bulk of revenue come from domestic sales, at £558m, while £132m came from Europe and £28m from the rest of the world.

CDW also published its quarterly numbers earlier this month, with global revenue for the three months ending 30 June climbing 22.8 per cent.
