Taylor Made acquisition for Peach Technologies
Southampton-based VAR states that further acquisitions are in the pipeline
Peach Technologies has acquired fellow Southampton MSP Taylor Made Computer Solutions (TMCS), with its chairman stating that further acquisitions are imminent.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but the acquisition will see Peach generate revenue of £20m and boost its headcount to 200.
Ian Brown, who was appointed chairman of Peach in January 2017, said it was pleasing to see the opportunity generated by combining the two businesses.
"The combination of Peach and TMCS marks a transformational step in the evolution of the Peach Group, to fulfil our aspiration of becoming one of the leading IT and communications providers for small and medium-sized enterprises throughout the UK," he said.
"We expect to continue to develop the business through strong organic growth and make further complementary acquisitions in the future."
Peach was founded in 2006 and is an IT and telecoms provider. It plans to use TMCS's IT services, security, backup and disaster recovery solutions to expand its own portfolio.
Darren Scott-Healey, Peach CEO, said: "Both companies are hugely complementary and enhance our ability to provide a one-stop shop solution for IT, telephony and communications services.
"We look forward to using our combined scale to do even more to help our customers grow, succeed and increase profitability."
TMCS is was ranked 217th in CRN's Top 250 VARs research (available exclusively to CRN Essential subscribers) and was established by MD Nigel Taylor and his wife Aly in 1994.
"Our highly skilled and IT-passionate people - combined with our tailored approach to providing the correct products and services - have been the foundations for creating a successful and highly respected business," Taylor said.
"By combining forces with Peach, we bring together a unique combination of talent that will provide an even bigger benefit for our customers and partners."
