Annodata CEO takes charge at Kyocera Document Solutions UK

Kyocera integrates Annodata and Midshire Communications in Document Solutions arm

Annodata boss Rod Barthet has become CEO of Kyocera Document Solutions UK, after the vendor acquired the partner in 2016.

Kyocera said that Annodata and Midshire Communications Limited (which was acquired in May 2016) have now been successfully integrated into the wider business and will be overseen by Barthet and general manager Hironoa Katsukura.

Barthet (pictured) said: "Our strategy and vision is to ensure that we continue to build on our core values and significantly increase the service proposition that partners have come to know us for, while bringing added value to them wherever possible.

"We will be working hard to develop our relationship with partners, and remain committed to providing a world-class level of service."

At the time of the acquisition, Kyocera said that Annodata would remain independent from the wider Kyocera business.

The deal was part of a string of takeovers that has seen print vendors acquire partners, including Sharp, HP, Ricoh and Xerox.

The Document Solutions arm of the business now has a combined workforce of 550 people.

The firm said its first objective is to "further evolve" its offering, which will see a new managed services offering announced in the next few months.
