PGi sets Joos loose aboot its hoose

Former Shoretel and Avaya exec lands top job at Atlanta-based comms provider

Don Joos has stepped into the role of CEO and president at PGi, where he will take the reins with immediate effect.

He is taking the reins from former chief exec Ted Schrafft, who is retiring, but will remain in an advisory position until the end of the year.

PGi is an Atlanta-based collaboration solutions provider, offering hardware, software and video conferencing services.

Joos was previously CEO and president of comms vendor ShoreTel, and before that held the position of VP of global services at Avaya.

PGi's new head stated that he was honoured with his appointment and that it was an exciting time to be working for PGi.

"My focus will be on driving growth opportunities in logical adjacencies," he said.

"I look forward to working with the leadership team and the employees to continue to create innovative solutions that help customers solve their business problems."

Schrafft said of his time at the vendor: "It has been a privilege to serve PGi for the past 25 years and I remain very excited about the future of the company.

"Over the years, we have transformed into a more focused, nimble and efficient organisation and I know that Don will continue to drive the business forward."
