TfL seeks suppliers for £70m IT tender as Atos and Computacenter contracts draw to a close
New contract will see successful bidder provide IT support services for Transport for London
Transport for London (TfL) is on the hunt for five suppliers to bid for an IT contract worth up to £70m.
The tender is for core ICT support and will run for an initial four years, with the potential to be extended for a further three years.
More specifically, the successful supplier must provide service desk and desk-side support services, including support for customer information screens, audiovisual equipment and meeting rooms.
According to the tender documents "two major IT services contracts" which deliver the required services are set to reach their conclusions.
Primary desk support is currently delivered by Atos, while desk-side support is provided by Computacenter.
TfL highlighted that "price is not the only award criterion", placing an emphasis on the quality of service offered by the potential suppliers.
The value of the contract is between £30m and £70m.
Partners have until the end of the month to apply for the tender, with invitations to tender set to be sent out at the start of December.
The agreement is expected to start in January 2020.
