Exertis set to clean up core electricals market with Hoover partnership
The deal builds on distie's earlier promise to distribute a broader range of electrical goods
Exertis is set to move into the domestic electricals market with a deal to distribute Hoover's vacuum cleaners and microwaves.
Earlier this year, the distie announced its intentions to distribute a wider range of electrical goods with both established and emerging vendors, in order to crack the core electricals market, which is worth more than £21bn annually.
Harriet Croft, general manager of core electricals at Exertis, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for Exertis to work with one of the most iconic brands in the domestic, electricals market as we broaden our portfolio to existing retailers and engage with new customers in this market.
"Hoover needs no introduction and is widely acclaimed for its innovation and design. We are looking forward to servicing customers as we lead up to peak demand."
Bobby Watkins, sales and marketing director of small domestic appliances at Hoover Candy, said: "We are pleased to be one of the first brands to support the launch of Exertis into this market place.
"The company's expertise in providing technology products to retail and its reputation with those customers were key reasons to engage, along with the opportunity to provide efficiencies in our supply chain."
