Former Daisy boss Muller takes top job at £50m-revenue MSP

Neil Muller rocks up at MSP and cloud provider as it announces purchase of London-based outfit 25sevenIT

Managed services provider Timico has appointed former Computacenter and Daisy bigwig Neil Muller (pictured) as its new CEO as it unveiled its latest acquisition.

Muller - who left Daisy abruptly in June and was formerly Computacenter's UK MD - told CRN he will start his new post on 12 November. You can read our Q&A with him in our upcoming Top VARs 2018 supplement.

25sevenIT is Timico's first acquisition since private equity owner Horizon - formerly known as Lyceum Capital - paid £50m for a majority shareholding in February 2017.

Its previous CEO, Ben Marham, was appointed as recently as September 2016.

Timico - which is gunning to become "the UK's leading independent ICT managed and cloud services company" - turned over nearly £56m in its year ending 31 December 2016.

Microsoft Gold partner 25sevenIT has a particular focus on the hospitality sector, according to Timico.

"Timico helps ambitious businesses to unlock their potential with the use of the right technology - and this acquisition marks an exciting development in the continued evolution of the business. 25sevenIT has an excellent pedigree as an established provider and we are delighted to be adding its knowledge and expertise to our business," said Timico chairman Geoff Neville.
