Computacenter rebrands recently acquired Misco Netherlands business

The €134m-turnover firm's website now redirects to new Computacenter Netherlands landing page

Misco Solutions has been renamed Computacenter Netherlands, with the Dutch firm's website now redirecting users to a new landing page under the UK reseller's brand.

Users attempting to access Misco Solutions' website are now redirected to a new Computacenter landing page called nl.computacenter.com.

The rebrand comes a little more than two months after Computacenter acquired Misco Solutions. The deal added 200 staff and €134m (£117m) in revenues to the UK reseller's Dutch operations.

The Dutch business was Misco's last-remaining subsidiary on the continent, after its UK arm went out of business in October 2017. Misco's misfortunes soon spread to mainland Europe and its operations in Sweden, Spain, Italy and Hungary all shut down earlier this year.

The move from Computacenter means the ill-fated reseller's brand will soon completely disappear. Channelnomics Europe recently learned that €420m-turnover French reseller Inmac Wstore - which still uses the Misco brand in France - will eventually drop the Misco name as a consequence of its owner Systemax offloading the business to German VAR Bechtle this summer.

Inmac Wstore president Jacques Thefo said the Misco brand has a "bad image" in Europe since its various European subsidiaries went out of business.

Computacenter soon followed up its buyout in the Netherlands with a blockbuster acquisition in the US in the shape of $600m-turnover reseller FusionStorm. As with Misco Solutions, Computacenter will look to rebrand the San Francisco-based firm by the beginning of next year.
