Dell EMC unveils new EMEA channel boss as Michael Collins moves into new role

Vendor's EMEA head of client solutions, Anwar Dahab, will take on new role on 6 February

Dell EMC's long-serving EMEA channel boss Michael Collins has moved into a new role and will be replaced by EMEA client solutions head Anwar Dahab.

Dahab will step into the EMEA channel role as of 6 February, while Collins will become SVP of Dell EMC's commercial business in western Europe, Russia and the CIS region, which has been left vacant since the retirement of Henrik Tomsen after 21 years at Dell.

Collins became VP of strategy and channel in EMEA in September 2015, and led the integration of Dell and EMC's EMEA channel ecosystems throughout 2016 and 2017.

Before becoming head of Dell EMC's EMEA Client Solutions business, Dahab spent almost two years heading up the vendor's activities in France.

Collins' exit is the latest in a number of management changes for Dell EMC's channel business. In November 2017, global channel boss John Byrne left his post to lead commercial sales in North America, which saw former OEM and IoT boss Joyce Mullen step into the top channel role.

UK channel boss Sarah Shields similarly vacated her post this year to become VP of enterprise channel in Europe. In September, former Tech Data exec Rob Tomlin stepped into the UK channel position.
