Nottingham-based MSP appoints new technical boss as part of growth plans

Nottingham-based Air IT has appointed a new chief technology officer and head of cybersecurity to lead its technical strategy.

Lee Johnson joins the managed service provider with more than 13 years' experience in the IT industry. He will head up the firm's security unit, Air Sec, and also act as CTO for the wider business.

James Healy, managing director at Air IT, said: "2018 was a brilliant year for us and Lee's appointment will see us continue to go from strength to strength. Lee brings invaluable skills and knowledge across the IT sector, and has proven experience in the MSP sector so is a perfect addition to the company.

"His strategic, innovative and fresh thinking will integrate well with Air IT, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team."

Air IT said that Johnson will also play a part in devising the firm's growth plans, with the aim of boosting staff numbers this year.
