Growth across the board for Computacenter

Revenue up in UK and Germany, while FusionStorm and Misco Netherlands exceed expectations

Computacenter saw revenue increase across its UK, German and international businesses last year, the firm has said in a trading update.

Total revenue for the year ending 31 December 2018 was up eight per cent year on year, excluding contributions from FusionStorm and Misco Netherlands - which were acquired last September.

Sales in the UK were up 10 per cent, while Germany saw growth of nine per cent. However, the regions saw services revenue drop five per cent and six per cent respectively.

Overall revenue in France declined three per cent.

Computacenter said: "2018 was a record year which has materially outperformed our original expectations. We believe that we will again show financial progress during 2019.

"The first-half performance in 2018 will create a challenging comparison but positive market momentum, driven by our customers' appetite to invest in digital technology to enhance their business, gives the board confidence in the future.

"We will also see a full-year contribution from the acquisitions we made in the second half of the year."

Computacenter's international business saw revenue increase 12 per cent, excluding FusionStorm and Misco Netherlands.

The firm said these two businesses exceeded expectations, hitting combined sales of £220m in Q4.

Computacenter will publish its full results for the year on 12 March 2019. Its share price rose nearly 10 per cent this morning.
