Largest G-Cloud deals and suppliers of 2018 revealed
Monster £25.7m deal sees US reseller giant ranked as the second-largest supplier on G-Cloud last year
CDW transacted the most sales of any reseller on the G-Cloud framework last year, according to CRN analysis of government data.
The figures, published by Crown Commercial Service (CCS), reveal that CDW raked in sales of £29.3m via G-Cloud, although the vast majority of this came from one monster £25.7m deal - the largest ever completed via the framework.
CDW ranked higher than any other firm featured in CRN's Top VARs report for G-Cloud deals last year. SCC is ranked in second place, with sales of around one fifth of CDW's.
Meanwhile Computacenter, the number one firm in Top VARs, saw G-Cloud sales of just over £1.1m last year.
G-Cloud entered its tenth iteration last year after a CCS U-turn.
The two largest G-Cloud suppliers overall were some way ahead of the rest of the pack.
Large consultancies continue to take a chunk of public sector spend, with French firm Capgemini hitting sales of over £52m.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) saw a revenue of over £50m, combining sales from three entities.
AWS' cloud nemesis Microsoft transacted £14.9m, with IBM raking in £12m.
CDW's deal with the Department for Education in June was the largest G-Cloud deal of 2018, around six times the value of the nearest transaction.
Bespoke software firm Equal Experts completed four of the top 10 biggest deals, the largest of which was worth £3.2m.
AWS' largest single deal, ranked third overall, was worth £3.3m.
The largest G-Cloud supplier of last year, Capgemini, saw its biggest transaction come in at just over £3m.
