Sheffield MSP sets up shop down South
CEO says there are plans to expand headcount
Sheffield-based MSP AAG IT has opened an office in London, marking its first location in the South.
The new premises will be spearheaded by Mark Longson and Mike Fish, who specialise in financial and legal customers.
CEO Alexa Greaves told CRN that plans for its new southern office have been in development for the past six months.
"It's a new area that we are hoping opens up a new marketplace for us and also assists us in supporting our clients in London and its surrounds already," she said.
"It's great to have a presence down there and gives us an extra capability to service our existing clients efficiently from London."
The rationale for the move is about widening AAG's customer base, according to Greaves, who added that it would act as a template for any further expansion.
"We will look at how the London office develops and replicate that model in other key areas of the country," she explained.
"We haven't any firm plans [for another location] at present, but we'll see how this one develops, how it grows and how it affects our business as a whole and then replicate that model elsewhere."
Fish and Longson bring AAG's total headcount to 27, and Greaves said there are plans to grow that number, with room to accommodate more staff in the new London base.
Longson said of his appointment: "With over 25 years' experience across financial services, automotive and manufacturing, my roles may have changed in subject matter area, but my approach has remained the same - to work with businesses and their executive teams to help them realise their strategic goals, revenue potential and the management of risk and reputation."
Fish stated: "With a background in physics and over 20 years' experience as a systems architect and IT business analyst, I am confident in delivering practical solutions to clients through the implementation of reliable and efficient IT to meet their current and future needs."
