Acquisitive SysGroup snaps up Dell EMC Gold partner
CEO claims further takeovers will follow this seventh deal
Managed services provider SysGroup has continued its acquisition spree by snapping up £8m-revenue player Certus IT.
Publicly listed SysGroup has also secured an additional £10m in funding to continue its M&A drive, on top of a new £5m banking facility.
The latest acquisition is the firm's seventh in the last five years.
SysGroup CEO Adam Binks said: "I am delighted to be welcoming both the Certus IT team and its customers to the SysGroup family.
"The addition of Certus IT to the group represents a step change regarding the scale of the business, better positioning SysGroup to penetrate our target market and drive further growth.
"This acquisition fits within our strategy of growing the business organically and through strategic acquisitions, and we are excited by the prospects that lie ahead."
SysGroup reported a revenue of £10.5m in its last financial year, while Newport-based Certus files small company accounts.
Founded in 2000, Certus is a Dell EMC partner and counts the likes of Admiral and Confused.com among its client base.
SysGroup said the acquisition will complement its existing vendor portfolio, which sees it hold Microsoft Gold Datacentre Partner status.
Certus CEO Paul Brown added: "We are excited to be joining forces with SysGroup and look forward to continuing our growth and enhancing our market strength as a combined entity.
"Our shared culture of putting customers first and our flexibility and commitment to delivering solutions will bring untold advantages and business opportunities to both the enlarged group and our extended customer base moving forward."
