HP brings DaaS for Apple to Europe
Vendor's Mac OS and iOS DaaS offerings were previously only available in the US
HP has expanded its enterprise device-as-a-service (DaaS) programme to include support for Apple products in 20 European countries.
HP DaaS for Mac OS and iOS devices was previously available only in the US.
The vendor has also introduced HP TechPulse, a system of analysis and reporting for IT managers to monitor the status of devices. It allows for the early identification of device issues, such as an impending battery or hard drive failure.
HP claims that both developments will be a key enabler for partners responsible for managing Mac OS and Windows end-user environments.
For MSPs also charged with migrating customers to Windows 10, TechPulse provides hardware upgrade compatibility reports to help end users plan for the upcoming end of support for Windows 7.
HP's global head and general manager of personal systems Bill Avey said that both updates reflect HP's recognition that the workforce is evolving to including more highly mobile employees.
"Today's approach to modern IT management must simplify how commercial organisations provide the right devices for the job, deliver management with insight, and provide flexibility for their businesses," he said.
"As a result, HP continues to reinvent its solutions based on customer and partner insights to ensure we are meeting their needs."
