Nuvias locks in former Tech Data exec for CEO role
Simon England will replace incumbent Paul Eccleston on 1 April
Pan-European distributor Nuvias has appointed Simon England as its new chief executive.
He will take the reins from 1 April, replacing current CEO Paul Eccleston, who will take up the position of executive chairman with responsibility for vendor and corporate strategy.
Eccleston said: "This is a very exciting step in the development of Nuvias and will enable us to move forward under Simon's leadership to fully realise the enormous opportunity for Nuvias over the months and years to come."
England (pictured above) has had a career spanning 30 years in distribution.
His most recent role was as SVP of the next-generation technologies division at Tech Data, following previous positions at Ingram Micro and Comstor.
"Nuvias is exceptionally well positioned in a market which continues to grow strongly and is transforming how IT services are securely delivered and consumed," said England.
"The firm has a unique set of assets, from its expertise and reputation to its partner network and portfolio of market-leading vendors and services.
"I am excited about the opportunity to build on these foundations and lead the senior management team to take Nuvias to its aggregate potential in EMEA."
