Nouveau Solutions sells up in week's third VAR deal

Vinci Energies will use deal to bolster its Axians brand in the UK

Nouveau Solutions has sold up to Axians owner Vinci Energies in the third sizeable VAR acquisition of the week.

Vinci Energies will use the deal to bolster the local capabilities of its Axians ICT brand, which in the UK is a £50m-revenue high-performance networking specialist that works primarily with service providers and in the public sector.

Wokingham-based Nouveau is not in CRN's VAR 300 as it does not report full accounts, but claims to turn over £7m and have a 35-strong headcount.

It bills itself as a managed services specialist with areas of expertise spanning security services, including a fully managed SIEM service, business managed IT services and support, Microsoft development and implementation services, as well as a wide range of data centre and cloud services

The acquisition was finalised on 29 March.

Axians' UK presence can be traced back to 2014, when Vinci Energies, part of French giant Vinci, acquired Imtech ICT.

It is the third sizeable VAR deal of the week following the sale of third-party maintenance specialist MCSA to Park Place Technologies and acquisition of Metropolitan Networks by Network Utilities.

Nouveau Solutions managing director Andy Stevens (pictured, centre, with Nouveau non-executive director Michael Tuson and Vinci Energies CEO, UK & ROI, Rochdi Ziyat), said: "We are really excited to be setting out on the next stage of our journey and thrilled to have become a part of the VINCI Energies group. The group's business model was a real attraction for us, giving us the ability to grow our company and use the strength of the Axians network of business units, both in the UK and across the globe. This is a tremendous opportunity for us to accelerate our efforts and at the same time retain our autonomy and culture so we can continue to deliver personal experience to our clients."

Ziyat added: "Nouveau Solutions Ltd is a fantastic addition to the VINCI Energies group and marks another big milestone in our ambitious plan. VINCI Energies entered the UK's ICT market in 2014 and this latest acquisition will bolster the strengths of our Axians brand and bring complementary capabilities to Axians Networks, enabling us to make our customers' ICT solutions ready for their secure digital future."
