Derby-based Sage partner sees record year
Smith Cooper Partner Systems partners contributed over 20 per cent to group's £19m revenue
Sage partner Smith Cooper System Partners (SCSP) has contributed over a fifth of its parent company's overall £19m revenue for FY18.
Derby-based SCSP is a subsidiary of the Smith Cooper group, an accountancy and business advisory firm with offices across the Midlands.
SCSP stated it saw its best year on record with its own revenues growing 37 per cent.
The Smith Cooper group's total turnover jumped 25 per cent to £19m, of which SCPS contributed around £3.8m.
SCSP claimed that in the past year it has twice broken its record for the largest single deal in its history and has added over 100 new clients. It also opened a new office in Newcastle.
The wider Smith Cooper group consists of Smith Cooper, accountants and business advisors, Infuse Technology, an IT MSP, and Smith Cooper Independent Financial Services, which provides financial solutions to both corporate and individual clients.
Chris Smith, MD of SCPS stated: "FY18 has been a phenomenal year for us in so many ways. Our market is highly competitive and the new legislation around Making Tax Digital (MTD) has been a challenge for all accounting software providers.
"Our team has risen to every challenge and it really is a magnificent achievement to deal with the unprecedented levels of activity required to make our existing base MTD compliant, whilst still achieving superb new business growth.
"We've also managed to keep smiling whilst we were at it, which always helps in my experience. Our team is amazing, and we look forward to moving forward again in FY19."
