The Merciless came out strongly in the first round, following up with plenty of punches in the second round. Both fighters stepped up the pace for the last 30 seconds of the fight.

Showing his appreciation for this fight, MC Mark Burford described it as "a fabulous representation of your industry", "one I'd love to see again" and "off the charts". In a wafer-thin 29-28 decision, Ben Lang was declared the winner.
In recognition of his efforts, Ben Lang was also named the Fighter of the Night.
