Dimension Data name to vanish next month
Three businesses to be rolled up into new NTT brand
The Dimension Data name will vanish from the market next month, with the Cisco partner being rolled up with NTT Communications and NTT Security to become NTT.
The new business will be headquartered in London and overseen by current Dimension Data CEO Jason Goodall.
The combined business will pull together more than 20 companies and have sales of $11bn (£8.7bn), it claims, with 40,000 employees.
Dimension Data said: "As one company, it will retain the dynamic loop synonymous with the brand as its logo.
"Building on a combined reputation for innovation and putting its customers and people at the heart of its business, NTT will deliver on a connected future, offering a full breadth of industry-leading products, solutions, and managed services that can solve clients' digital challenges worldwide.
"As one NTT family, even greater things can be achieved with technology for its clients, people, and the communities it works in."
The Dimension Data name will however remain in the Middle East and Africa, while businesses operating as Dimension Data in Japan will form part of NTT's sister company, NTT Communications.
NTT first revealed plans to restructure its business globally last August.
