G-Cloud 11 goes live with 4,200 suppliers
700 suppliers added as total sales edge towards £5bn
G-Cloud 11 has gone live, with Crown Commercial Service (CCS) claiming that over 90 per cent of suppliers on the framework are SMBs.
Around 700 suppliers have been added, up to a total of 4,200.
Niall Quinn, director of CCS' technology arm, said: "G-Cloud continues to be a major success story for how we drive innovation in the public sector.
"G-Cloud is all about simplicity, making it as straightforward as possible for customers and suppliers to find each other."
G-Cloud 11 will run for an initial 12 month period, with an option to extend it by another 12 months.
Since its inception the G-Cloud framework has facilitated £4.79bn of sales, according to CCS, with 45 per cent of this going to SMB suppliers.
A full list of suppliers can be found on the government's Digital Marketplace.
Government data shows that over 1,500 suppliers failed to complete a started application.
The framework is divided into three Lots: Cloud Hosting; Cloud Software; and Cloud Support.
Suppliers were given a relatively short period of time to get their application for G-Cloud 11 completed, with consultancy firm Advice Cloud telling CRN this meant that the framework would be similar to its predecessor - the main benefit being that suppliers could update their pricing.
Suppliers were notified of their successful application on 21 June, at which point a standstill period was started.
