Exclusive: Resellers given provisional nod for £5bn Network Services 2 framework
Softcat and CDW among firms named in suppliers list, as standstill period begins
A host of resellers have been provisionally awarded a place on the Network Services 2 framework, which is valued at £5bn.
Big channel firms including Softcat, CDW, SCC and Daisy have been named on a list of suppliers fired out today, seen by CRN.
The framework is now in a standstill period and expected to be awarded on 16 July, according to Crown Commercial Service's (CCS) website.
The standstill period allows for challenges to the final line-up, meaning the list of suppliers is not set in stone.
Suppliers are only officially awarded a spot on the framework once the standstill period ends and the framework is awarded.
CCS will reveal the final line-up in due course.
Network Services 2 is a procurement vehicle that will facilitate sales between public sector buyers and IT suppliers.
It is split into 13 Lots and covers a host of network, data, audiovisual and communications services.
It replaces its predecessor Network Services framework, which launched in 2015 and is set to expire later this month.
Network Services 2 is will run until 2023.
CCS says the framework has a projected purse of £5bn in sales over its four-year duration.
When contacted by CRN, CCS stressed that this list is preliminary, with no supplier guaranteed a place until the standstill ends.
